Q. Do you have a guarantee on your products?
A. All our products have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Contact the store where
you purchased the soap for a full refund as per their store policy.
Q. Do all soaps come wrapped in plastic?
A. Yes. We use a recyclable polyolefin that breathes slightly so that the fragrance can be detected. Artisan Collection and Pure ESS also come in boxes. The rest come with a label.
Q. What is the main ingredient in your soap?
A. Coconut oil. For a basic ingredient list see our page marked ‘Ingredients’.
Q. Can I buy your soap online?
A. No, unless you represent a hotel/resort or are looking for special custom orders, at present we only sell to wholesale accounts. See our page on
‘Where to Buy’.
Q. Are all soaps vegan?
A. Yes, with the exception of the soap labeled as having goat milk in it.
Q. Can I get some custom soaps for party or wedding favors?
A. Yes. Click on the link to the left marked ‘Custom Orders’.
Q. Do the layers ever come apart?
A. No.
Q. Can my store get custom soap made just for us?
A. Yes, and we can customize the label through our graphic services dept. For
details see our page about custom orders. Minimums will apply.
Q. Does this soap disappear quickly when you use it?
A. This is a glycerin soap, not a hard milled bar made from lye and fats.
Glycerin naturally attracts moisture and will attract moisture to your skin.
This may cause the bar to
‘sweat’ in humid environments. This is natural. We strongly recommend that you keep
your soap somewhere dry when not in use. If is left standing in water, or under
the spray of your shower, it will dissolve like any other soap. However, we
have found that when we added titanium dioxide (a natural mineral pigment) this
makes the bars harder than solid transparent soap and therefore it will last
longer than most glycerin soaps.
Q. Your soap smells good enough to eat. Is it edible?
A. We have actually had customers that tried this. We know the fragrance and
look is very tempting, but we think you
’ll be disappointed in the taste, so we recommend against it.
Q. I don’t see a store near me that carries your soap. What can I do?
A. Pure Elixir makes soap that sells well in gift shops, drug stores, boutiques,
coffee shops, natural and organic food stores, department stores, spas and
chains. Tell your favorite store manager that they should carry our products
and that you
’ll be a regular customer. Then give them the web address above. Thanks! You can

Q. Does your soap get a thick rich lather?
A. Our soap creates nice suds, but not what we would call a thick lather. The
agent that creates those thick lathers for other products is detergent which is
a chemical. We prefer not to add chemicals to our products. The lather does not
serve a purpose or make the product clean better, and so we leave it out.
